Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and an artist in mixed martial arts who is a part of the UFC at the flyweight division,, is now competing. Shevchenko is the younger sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champion and fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and beat Suzane Mill in the finals via a majority verdict. Antonina Shevchenko won her second prize in 2007, she was awarded a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold in 2011, and then was named the 2017 IFMA World Amateur MuayThailand Champion. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003, and she won in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She managed to take home the second round TKO fight. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by unanimous decision, before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina Shevchenko defeated Nievera thanks to her impressive strike power through a clinch using the body with knees. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina got an UFC contract. Antonina received a UFC contract after winning. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first fight with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night bonus during the fight. Shevchenko went 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts, winning against Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee.
